High-Barrier Options

For Design for Recycle (Recycle-Ready), APC can supply ready-for-market barrier structures with use of AlOx coatings, EVOH extrudate or EVOH-coex sealant films, or metallized films. The Recycle-Ready can be film or paper-based. For Compostable structures, APC has several structures under evaluation in the field with additional testing ongoing, including the use of metallized and clear barrier options which provide enhanced barrier properties.

Size & Weight Limits

Weight Limitations

Weight limitations are really determined by the density of the product being packaged.We can produce large-format box style, Fold-Over-Glue(FOG), pinch-bottom pouches large enough to accommodate weights in the 40-50# range depending on product density.

Size Limitations

Size limitations also depend on product density.We can package products as low as a few ounces of product with SUP or box-style pouches.We can produce large format pouches with 30"+ heights and up to 7.5" side gussets. Height and side gusset combination dimensions will determine largest sizes possible.

We perform product drop test from a 3 feet height, with six drops.The drops are top/bottom/front/back/left side gusset/right side gusset.Do not have the specific ASTM standard test # readily available but will look to provide the test # when we determine it.
