PSC Member Pledge

The Pet Sustainability Coalition knows that to address the environmental and social issues facing our industry and planet, we are stronger together.

  1. Members of the Pet Sustainability Coalition strive toward the following:
  2. As a member of the Pet Sustainability Coalition, we are committed to authentically integrating sustainability in our business. As business leaders we share a responsibility for the environment and our communities.
  3. It is our intent to collaborate across the industry to reduce the environmental and social impacts resulting from the creation, distribution, sale, use and waste of our awesome pet products, while preserving and enhancing financial viability for our shareholders and employees.
  4. Each Member of the Pet Sustainability Coalition must comply with applicable state, regional and federal antitrust laws. In the interest of increasing openness of discussion, information that is shared during any PSC meeting or event should be treated as proprietary and confidential, but members should never discuss competitive pricing, suppliers, or share proprietary competitive information as a part of their PSC membership.
  5. We agree to complete the PSC Benchmark Assessment on an annual basis.
  6. We will make reasonable efforts to improve our environmental and social impact during each membership year with the support of our internal team and PSC’s team and partners.
  7. We agree to comply with applicable state, regional, and federal antitrust laws. Any interactions between members must be treated as proprietary and confidential, and members should never discuss competitive pricing, suppliers, or share proprietary competitive information as a part of their PSC membership.
  8. We agree to abide by the communication rules set forth by PSC that outline the appropriate use of all PSC logos and PSC program logos.
  9. We understand that our PSC membership is not an endorsement of the environmental or social performance of our products or company and we will not position our membership as such.
